Let’s pray + act together for peace!

On Peace Sunday, November 9th, Stirling’s Mission, Peace and Justice Ministry will be hosting Laura and Robyn, founding organizers with Neighbours for Palestine: Waterloo Region.

Neighbours for Palestine is a group of community members from Waterloo Region who have united to pressure local Members of Parliament to stand up for justice in Palestine and end Canadian complicity in genocide. They are part of a national network building a mounting chorus of voices across the country.

Speakers:

Laura has travelled to Palestine a number of times through social justice organizations and has been organizing within the Palestinian solidarity movement since 2008. She works in the higher education sector.

Robyn got involved in Palestine organizing two years ago after seeing how little the Canadian government was willing to do to stop the death and destruction in Gaza. Robyn works in the public health field.

Join us for this powerful opportunity to learn and act locally for peace in our world:

  • 9:45 AM Worship - A time of prayer, song, and reflection on Christ’s call to peacemaking

  • 12:00 PM Potluck - Bring a nut-free vegan or vegetarian dish to share

All are welcome!
